New CCHS Executive Director, Whitney Dennis
September 11, 2014
The CCHS Board of Directors would like to introduce and welcome a new Executive Director.
Carmel resident, Whitney Dennis, will join the CCHS beginning on Tuesday, September 16. Whitney’s experience, qualifications, and personality fit exactly what the CCHS was looking for when it began its search. She brings to the position a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies, two audit Master’s, and a B.A. in Spanish with an minor in Art History. She also is a published writer and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Whitney and her husband live in Old Town not far from the CCHS campus. They have two young children. She will keep the CCHS office hours the same until she finds what works best for her and her commitments. Please welcome Whitney to the CCHS when you see her.
As you may know, Katherine Dill had submitted her resignation to the Board at the July Board meeting. She generously agreed to stay on once a new ED was found to work alongside them and help them acclimate to the operations of the CCHS. Once that time passes, Katherine will continue to work with us in the capacity of Curator and assist with our collections and exhibits.
Thank you also to the Search Committee who worked hard to find the right person as quickly as possible.
