On the National Register of Historic Places since 1975, the John Kinzer homestead was put on the market for sale on October 1st. Presently owned by the Fehrenbach family since 1967, this property is a gem inside Carmel’s city limits just east of Keystone Parkway on Main Street. Carmel pioneer John Kinzer built the log cabin in 1828, and later, the Greek Revival style home in 1840. They sit side-by-side on 8.5 acres with several outbuildings, a pond, and a two-bedroom apartment over the carriage house.
