Volunteer
The Carmel Clay Historical Society has a broad range of opportunities for people to get involved. For those who like a regular schedule of participation, serving as a Monon Depot Museum docent on weekends is a great idea. If you like getting up close and personal with historical photographs and documents, perhaps helping to organize and digitize CCHS collections or even putting together exhibits would be a good fit.
A one-day commitment more to your liking? We can accommodate that, too. Our Holiday Home Tour is one of our largest volunteer undertakings each year, for which we need guides and people to prepare appetizers for the evening tours. And we can always use help with Scout groups and school tours. Volunteers will work with students at hands-on activities, crafts, and more. We even have opportunities for volunteers to help assemble newsletters and other mailings, which provide wonderful chances to meet other CCHS members. And we can always use people good at long-term planning.
Our Springtime Luncheon and Holiday Home Tour are the major fundraisers for the CCHS and we need energetic, organized people to help make those events happen.
